Escapement provides that authentic “click” of the hammer. Plus, the onboard speaker system can really project in a space, saving you the hassle of connecting external gear.

SuperNATURAL and legacy synth sounds

Building on its authentic design, the RD-88 offers plenty of curated sounds from Roland’s legacy acoustic and electric flagship synthesizers. Intuitive layout, configurable zones and soft synth

Beyond the authentic action and legacy sounds, the RD-88 offers players an intuitive layout. Clearly marked controls are close at hand, so it’s easy to shape your sound with added effects. Plus, the RD-88 offers three configurable zones for internal sounds or integrated soft synths from Apple MainStage. Use the zones to duplicate a track or mix in those soft synths with Roland’s extensive library.
